At the core of Virtual Internships’ programming is a focus on education, skills outcomes, and academic alignment. To that measure, we seek to be experts in remote work, experiential learning, internships, and professional development. We have conducted assessments and research related to internships, remote work, and school to employment transition to better inform employers, universities, partners, and students about the changing world of remote internships.
Beyond what appears to be self-evident, little is known about the skills outcomes of remote internships, and if they can successfully compare to in-person internships. Consequently, Virtual Internships with the assistance of data from their sister company, CRCC Asia has sought to compare data from 2019 -2020 in evident skills gain based on the 8 NACE Career Competencies and student self-assessments.
