Head of Marketing -HCMC, Vietnam
Job Title: Head Of Marketing

THE ROLE:
As Virtual Internships is entering a high-growth phase with increased scale and depth of partnerships we are seeking a dynamic Head Of Marketing, working alongside and managing a 2 person team consisting of a Digital Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer. They will be responsible for leading and executing our strategy to grow our B2C customers, alongside supporting our partnerships teams with B2B growth. As Head of Marketing, they will take ownership of our brand, social media, and management and implementation of marketing campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Management

  • Lead strategy and plans for execution
  • Manage a small team of marketers and continue to grow a wider marketing team through Associate-level positions
  • Assess and manage an annual marketing budget
  • Manage the relationship with any outsourced marketing activities (e.g. Public Relations)

Brand Ownership:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of brand strategy
  • Continually review changes to the market, trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary
  • Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs

Social Media Campaigns:

  • Develop content and write copy for use across all platforms and in customer communications to drive engagement and retention – including blogs, email campaigns, social media, website, marketing materials and B2B communications.
  • Manage social media articles and posts across all brand platforms.
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Prioritize opportunities for engagement based on business case and data, and measure progress using KPIs. Develop key performance metrics to improve websites’ activity, functionality, and user experience. Report and analyze user trends and recommend changes to website properties through A/B testing and content targeting to increase traffic and conversion metrics.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Effectively set targets and key metrics to reach
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF YOU ARE:

  • Already based in Vietnam with right to work
  • Native or fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, including managing a team
  • Previously worked in a Startup environment
  • Strong project management and people management: You will oversee the marketing department and guide its day-to-day operations, so you’ll be recruiting, supervising and mentoring members of the marketing team.
  • Leadership and influencing: The role of a Head Of Marketing is a creative one, so it’s crucial that you present yourself as a good communicator. You will often report directly to the chief executive and portray your vision and ideas to the executive team. You will also be leading and directing the work of others. Being a marketing head also involves constant networking and representing your organisation to outsiders.
  • Data analysis: The role calls for continual analysis of market trends and the positioning of competitors. This analysis provides the foundation for marketing strategies. Much of this analysis is done by drilling down into data around customer behaviour and experiences, so you need to be up to speed on these techniques.

Digital Marketing Specialist - HCMC, Vietnam
Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

THE ROLE:
As Virtual Internships is entering a high-growth phase with increased scale and depth of partnerships we are seeking a dynamic Head Of Marketing, working alongside and managing a 2 person team consisting of a Digital Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer. They will be responsible for leading and executing our strategy to grow our B2C customers, alongside supporting our partnerships teams with B2B growth. As Head of Marketing, they will take ownership of our brand, social media, and management and implementation of marketing campaigns.
An average day will require liaising with your Head of Marketing to plan digital campaigns and optimize our website UI/UX, and connecting with the Partnerships Team to support student outreach and marketing, updating google adwords campaign and reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Website Management :

  • Ownership and responsibility for all corporate online/digital properties, including virtualinternships.com and related corporate websites. This requires a basic understanding and use of content management systems (such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), WordPress, and Sanity).
  • A core focus will be on user experience (UX) and sales enablement support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Write functional specifications for external developers.

Marketing Campaigns:

  • Planning and execute digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email marketing
  • Managing the budget and relationship with student/graduate-focused advertising platforms
  • Support Head Of Marketing with social media campaigns
  • Coordinate blog creation from internal sources for posting

Search Engine Optimization:

  • Developing and implementing effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies
  • Coordinating content, design, social media, pay-per-click (PPC) marketing and other activities
  • Managing offsite and onsite optimization projects and reporting on performance
  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights

Desirable Skills/Mindset:

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • Previously worked in a Startup environment
  • You have new ideas (from best practice or innovation) and take an experiment-led approach: you try new things, track/measure them and quickly work out which ones work
  • You’re self-sufficient: you know (or can quickly learn) everything you need for doing digital marketing yourself – give us evidence of something you’ve taught yourself.
  • Experience of managing marketing campaigns, ideally targeting students- this can include working with student focused advertising platforms or similar channels
  • Experience in using Google Analytics to inform strategy
  • Familiarization with maintaining a WordPress and Drupal website
  • Familiarity of SEO techniques and optimising Google Adword campaigns
  • Previous experience with Zoho CRM and/or ZohoCampaigns (Advantageous, but not essential)
  • Previous experience with SEO tools such as AHRefs, SEMRush (Advantageous, but not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Great communication skills, fluent spoken English and excellent grammar

Graphic Designer - HCMC, Vietnam

Job Title: Graphic Designer
Start Date: February 2021

Reports to: Head of Marketing

ROLE:
We’re looking for a creative, innovative, and multi-disciplinary Graphic Designer to join the growing Marketing Team. In this fast-paced role, you’ll apply your extensive graphic design experience to tell VI’s story through compelling visual communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualize and create eye-catching graphics for traditional and digital mediums, including but not limited to, the VI Platform, VI website, social media channels, email campaigns, marketing programs, presentations, and videos
  • Complete day-to-day graphic requests to support marketing programs including small illustrations, email headers, email body graphics, social media posts, Linkedin posts, blog headers, handouts/flyers, etc.
  • Ensure the VI’s brand is consistently represented across all designs internally and externally
  • Work with Head of Marketing and Senior Leadership to incorporate their vision and ensure final designs reflect desired messaging and goals
  • Apply industry best practices and stay on-top-of trends to keep the VI brand fresh and forward-facing

Desirable Skills:

  • At least 2 years (or above) of experience as a graphic designer
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator.
  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.

ROLE:
VI is embarking on an accelerated growth phase in Q1 2021. A significant part of the strategy involves building out a central global “hub office” in Ho Chi Minh City, where it’s senior leadership, operations, finance, digital marketing, and infrastructure teams are based.
As part of this growth phase, we are expanding our partnerships in three areas:

  1. Start-Ups/SME companies (“Host Companies”) that can offer our participants an internship opportunity
  2. Corporates (more than 1000 employees) looking to tailor/adapt their existing internship programs or introduce new programs to improve accessibility and diversity initiatives
  3. Universities seeking to partner with VI to improve their students employability outcomes

As such, we are seeking Associates who will be supporting one of the three teams (Companies, Corporates, University Partnerships). The ideal Associate will be an enthusiastic and motivated student or recent graduate, seeking an internship with a fast-emerging EdTech start-up.
This role is initially a 3 month full-time position, with the option of permanent employment after the internship depending on performance and opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Company Development Associate
Host Company Development (75%)

  • Identifying new sources to obtain potential host companies (primarily start-ups/SMEs) in designated regions/sectors e.g. job boards, chamber of commerces, social media, events
  • Researching and identifying decision makers at potential companies (particularly Engineering, Finance, Green Technology, NGOs, Healthcare) global- in line with specific targets and metrics
  • Updating daily trackers on email output/research
  • Reviewing and iterating on template emails used for outreach
  • Developing a handbook with guidelines and instructions on outreach
  • Support the onboarding and training of other potential interns
  • Supporting the Head of Company Development with innovative outreach channels, e.g. Linkedin, referral schemes, utilisation of tech solutions
  • Curating and editing Company materials that will support with lead generation

Corporate Development Associate
Corporate Partnerships Development (75%)

  • Identifying new sources to obtain potential corporate partnerships in designated regions/sectors (with a particular focus on corporates with existing workforce development and/or internship/graduate programs)
  • Researching and identifying decision makers at corporates (e.g. Internship/Graduate HR Managers) in line with specific targets and metrics
  • Updating daily trackers on email output/research
  • Reviewing and iterating on template emails used for outreach
  • Developing a handbook with guidelines and instructions on outreach
  • Support the onboarding and training of other potential interns

University Partnership Development Associate
University Partnerships Development (75%)

  • Researching and collating data on specific institutions- e.g. career advisors, study abroad departments, etc- in line with specific targets and metrics
  • Updating daily trackers on email output/research
  • Reviewing and iterating on template emails used for outreach
  • Developing a handbook with guidelines and instructions on outreach
  • Support the onboarding and training of other potential interns

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
All Associates will be also have the following general business support responsibilities-

General Business Support (25%)

  • Reviewing video applications of students, and deciding if they are admitted into our programs based on set guidelines and criteria
  • Creating end of program reports with student outcomes
  • Ad-Hoc projects to support business objectives these may include : Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Website Audits

Product- Business Analyst- HCMC, Vietnam
Job Title: Product- Business Analyst

THE ROLE:
As Virtual Internships enters a high-growth phase we are are seeking a Business Analyst who work on our Product Team that is developing our platform that will:

  • a) Match interns with employers offering remote work experience
  • b) Upskill interns with employability courses
  • c) Support interns via live and machine-learning feedback

The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing our three customers’ needs (University/Education Institutions, Student, Employers) and participate in the planning, design, and implementation of new workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working on projects managed in agile driven methodologies.
  • Translating business requirements into functional, non-functional, and system requirements to include business processes, workflow diagrams, use cases along with requirements of user experience, data integration, UI integration and reporting.
  • Managing the product backlog and writing user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Working with the design team on product design or designing application wireframe when required.
  • Writing user manuals, conducting user training sessions, tracking feedbacks, and facilitating UAT.
  • Verify team output (usability testing, validate “before” and “after” results from the changing system, acceptance testing…).
  • Support the creation and maintenance of project documentation, user guides
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer.
  • Conduct research to determine if solutions to the business requirements currently exist within the business and/ or market, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible

Qualifications and experience
